Your choice of clothing can make or break your visit to the Storey Arms. Mountain weather, even in summer, can be cold and wet! Be prepared for sun and rain!
Clothing to wear on the day
- trousers, leggings or tracksuit bottoms
(definitely NO jeans – they are too cold when they get wet) - 1 warm fleece jumper
- 1 t-shirt or thermal top
- 1 pair of thick socks
EXTRA clothing for the outdoors
- waterproof top and bottoms (if you have them)
- walking boots or wellington boots (if you have them)
- sun hat / baseball cap
- warm hat and gloves
Specialist Equipment
- The centre will provide all the specialist equipment that you may need. This includes waterproof clothing and boots (if you don’t have your own).
Additional Items
- packed lunch (in a box) and hot drink (in a flask)
- cold drink (optional)
- any medication you might need
- 1 towel
- large polythene bag or old carrier bag (for wet clothing)
- sun cream (minimum factor 30)
